FREE Coconut Oil from Tropical Traditions!

If any of you know much about me, you know that I am a bit of health nut is some ways.  Well, my source for the best cocunut oil on the planet, Tropical Traditions, is giving away a free 32 oz jar of their best organic coconut oil.  The only catch is that you have to place a $16 order.  When you do so, just add the 32 oz gold label coconut oil to your cart and you will not have to pay for it….they won’t even charge the weight in shipping and it is a bit heavy.  Just remember to add the free jar to your order because it will not be automatically added.  This is a great way to try out some of the Tropical Traditions products!

I use coconut oil in lots of ways:

It’s awesome in brownies in place of the bad-for-you vegetable or canola oil

I use it in all my sweet baking, like cakes, cookies, muffins, etc

I fry my eggs in it….some people don’t like the flavor of the oil this way, but it doesn’t me or my kids, just Rich

When I am out of Tropical Traditions Coconut Cream Concentrate I add the oil to my smooties

I have pretty much replaced most of the oil in my baked or cooked items with coconut oil.  The only time I use any other oil is when I use it raw.  When I use raw oils I use extra virgin olive oil (1st cold pressing), unrefined sesame oil, and unrefined flax oil.  I use these oils only in dressings and things.  Well, I do use olive oil sometimes when I bake because Rich doesn’t like the flavor of the coconut oil in things like corn bread.  I also fry Rich’s eggs in butter instead of the oil.

Well, this may be more info than you needed on my use of coconut oil.  But, you should really try some, if you can.  On the Tropical Traditions website they give you all sorts of very helpful information on the benefits and uses of coconut oil.

The 12 Days of a Large Family Christmas

My good friend, Joyce, sent me the link to this YouTube clip today.  I watched it and just loved it.  Mostly because it is so accurate!  If you have many kids, you’ll really appreciate it :-) !

Hebrews 13:15-16

Through Him then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name.  And do not neglect doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.

I’m Back!

Well, I’ve just recently returned home from a LONG visit to my Mom’s house in upstate NY.  While there I had a few family members comment to me that they check my blog occassionaly to see if I have written.  I told them I would do my best to keep this blog updated regularly.  So, here I am!  Back at last!

A whole lot has happened in the many months since I last posted so I’m not even going to attempt to describe it all right now.  The most important thing is that I love my Lord more than even before and am more excited than I have ever been about studying His word and getting to know Him more!  I hope to share all that here as well as updates with what’s going on with the family (stories, pics, etc).  I’ll also share what I’ve been up to like scrapbooking, stamping, cooking, or whatever else I decide to do with all my “spare time“.

I can’t wait to share what I’ve been studying about delight, especially in the Psalms!  How awesome!  However, seeing as it’s about time for bed, I better let that wait until next time……
